Obie was a great dog with the perfect golden temperment. He lived a very full life until the very last breath on September 1, 2006--just a few weeks shy of his 15th birthday. Obie was the reason we ever got into golden retrievers...and what an ambassador to the breed he was. Although he was never awarded with any fancy AKC titles, he was more than a champion in our hearts.
